Südwolle... a company, well known by many specialists in the wool industry for many decades! The Steger family laid the foundation for Südwolle with the construction of their own spinning mill in 1972. After an intensive expansion phase further companies in Germany and Switzerland followed. This increased the capacity to 25 Million kg per year. With own mills in Germany, Poland and China the group is the world market leader in the worsted yarn field today. Südwolle is still developing and has not come to a standstill... The group is aiming at new goals and product development. Based on decades of manufacturing experience a new idea was born: The production of knitting yarns. Südwolle founded its own knitting yarn company in Biella, Italy, in 2000. Welcome to Biella Yarn.
