HERITAGE TO HI-TECH
Mount Hesse station in Victoria, Australia embodies both history and future of our company. Mount Hesse merino sheep station was founded in 1882 and acquired by Südwolle in 2002.
The family-operated farm, which is among the 5 largest merino farms in Australia, represents our direct contact with primary production. The farm allows us to set standards for today’s demands on the quality and processability of wool, and to try out new concepts – for grazing and animal husbandry, shearing and natural livestock living conditions. This is instrumental in continuously improving the final product:
Biella Yarn by Südwolle.
